Dee Lusby berichtet hier daß Herbstschwärme hervorragend sein können und sie erklärt wie sie diese Schwärme mit ungeheuerlich viel Futterzugabe (Honig und Pollenwaben) hervorragend über die Runden bringt.
Hier kann man gut sehen wie sie nach dem alten Imkerprinzip vorgeht.

Not really………….and fall swarms like early spring swarms are GREAT
if one knows how to set them up for going on and actually better then main
flow swarms…………….for like early spring swarms they normally match
your area better!!……………but in getting these going and secure you
need, drawnout combs of small cell to work with and then the swarms have to
be packed into minimum of 2 deeps with enough stores of honey and pollen
for good brooding in fall too and then periodic brooding thoughout winter
months………and many just don’t know how to do this
part……………………and so in the fall when I get late swarms I myself and not afraid to
put into empty 3-4 deeps and then pack minimum of two broodnest boxes with
honey and pollen to outsides for 50-60 lbs honey each box along with pollen
and then with center gut small drawnout combs for brooding let them have
at it……………….and they normally do fine…………but new
beekeepers don’t normally have equipment to do this part…which older sideline
beekeepers and bigger can!!!

Dee gibt so einen Herbstschwarm in 3 bis 4 Zargen!!!!!, davon MINDESTENS 2 Brutzargen, in die sie jeweils 25 bis 30kg Honig und Pollen gibt und im Zentrum ausgebaute Waben.
Jetzt wird vielleicht einigen klar wie Ed&Dee Lusby imkern – nach dem alten, dort früher üblichen Imkerprinzip.
Alles enorm stark – das ist der Trick.
