Geräusch in der Wintertraube

geben die Bienen in der Wintertraube Geräusche von sich oder sind sie scheintot, aber doch lebendig?

Interessante Informationen von Dee Lusby:

(Keith) Take your extremely stupid smart phone, find the recorder, and record
through an entrance, or crack of your hive. Listen to the recording, if there
are bees inside you will hear buzzing and so forth on the recording. I do
this to avoid opening hives in dead of winter. Bees make a constant buzz day
and night, summer and winter if they are alive.

.
reply (Dee Lusby);
NO they do not,……………….for if in a very tight cluster they will
appear dead and lifeless and no noise actually………and then having been
told what you are saying they shake the bees out on the ground, instead of
leaving alone, for a series of warm days of 4-5-6 days or more
……………….and have lived thru this in the past having kept bees while living
up in Montana and along the canadian border in very cold winters…….

Bees only buzz like this in loose cluster and semi loose cluster, and the
colder the lesser the cold blooded bees sound and this has been noted in the
past…….with only strong kept colonies being heard……and the smaller
ones not heard…………..and if opening and tight cluster, then note if
empty frames butting the cluster each side and then change out the empty
for a filled frame with honey and pollen…..and/or put a pollen/honey paddy
on top for food for the cluster too, which can surprise you if weak and
not sounds, ….

and main thing is to not disrupt the cluster and then let bees fall to the
bottom of the hive on bottom board, for by selves they cannot crawl back
up…………….

and so again, NOT ALL CLUSTERS MAKE THIS SOUND IN EXTREMELY COLD
WINTERS………FOR IF IN VERY TIGHT CLUSTERS THEY DON’T HUMM LIKE MANY ARE TOLD AND
NORMALLY SEE, SO ODD COLD YEARS ARE GREAT LEARNING EXPERINECES, LIKE
EXTRMELY HOT SUMMERS IN ODD YEARS TOO!!!……………………

SO JUST LET THE BEES BE, BUT MAKE SURE WHOLE FRAMES OF HONEY BUTTING THE
CLUSTERS…….

AND IF VERY SMALL AND IN BACK YARD AND EASY TO ACCESS, THEN YOU CAN UNDER
THE HIVES, SCRATCHING A SMALL TRENCH SORTA PUT A 15WATT BULB TO LET HEAT
THEN GO UP RADIATING THRU THE BOTTOM BOARD FOR WARMTH SORTA, BUT ONCE BULB
UNDER THE HIVE THEN YOU PUT A COVER OVER EACH SIDE SO THE HEAT DOESN’T GO OUT
THE SIDES, BUT STAYS THERE AND GOS UP SORTA. THOUGH WILL TAKE SEVERAL HOURS
TO DO SO WITH ENTENSION CORD KEEPING BULB GOING.

AND DONT‘ SAY THIS VERY OFTEN………………FOR TOO EXPENSIVE FOR BIG
SIDELINE AND COMMERCIAL TO DO. BUT IN BACK YARD WITH ONLY 1-2-3 OR SO HIVES,
THEY CAN BE WARMED WITH A 15 WATT BULB, AND EVEN WORST CASE TAKING OUT A
CENTER FRAME IN BOTTOM BOX AND PUT IN THERE TO RADIATE UP THE
CENTER…….BUT NO HOTTER A BULB………….TO THEN OVER HEAT
TOO…………………….THEN YOU CAN KNOW IN 48 HOURS IF BEES STILL GOING!!!
BUT CAUTION,FOR IN HEATING, IT CAN CAUSE THEM TO FLY OUTSIDE, SO THAT NOT
GOOD PART OF THIS AND SO WHY NO MORE THEN 15WATT AND THEN WATCHING TO SEE IF
ALIVE…WHICH TO ME IS PUTTING FOOD NEXT TO THEM AND THEN AFTER SEEING
ALIVE, PERHAPS TURNING THE BULB OFF!!!!……..AND NOT CONSTANTLY ON……..
